Experience in Professionalism (EIP) is a 1 credit hour course provided to IUPUI undergraduate students. The series is designed to help IUPUI students build their resumes and explore a range of topics related to career development and professionalism. EIP gives students valuable knowledge and skills to help prepare them for part-time employment and a wide range of experiential learning opportunities, including internships, service learning, study abroad programs, and civic engagement.

Human resource professionals from across Indianapolis partner with the Office of Student Employment to give career development presentations to IUPUI students. Presentations are typically one hour long on one of the following topics:

  • Communication
  • Conflict resolution
  • Ethics and diversity
  • Financial literacy
  • Interviewing
  • Job-search strategies
  • Leadership
  • Motivation
  • Networking
  • Online image
  • Teamwork
  • Transferable skills

Students are required to register for this class and each course holds 30 students. Below is a list of companies that have recently participated in the Experience in Professionalism course.
